Chicken Kasha

Chicken is very easy to cook and it can be cooked in varieties of ways. Last Saturday we had some guests invited at our home. I prepared chicken kasha for them and it was yummy!


1. Chicken - 500 grams.
2. Onion - 2 to 3 large size.
3. Garlic - 10 to 12 cloves.
4. Ginger paste - 2 tablespoon.
5. Tomato - 1 piece.
6. Chilly powder.
7. Cumin powder-1/2 tablespoon.
8. Salt.
9. Turmeric powder.
10.Mustard oil.

11.Whole Garam Masala.
12. Coriander leaves.


1. Clean the chicken properly and marinate with salt, turmeric powder, red chilly powder(little) and mustard oil. keep it aside for 1 hour.
2. Add some mustard oil in a kadai. Put some whole garam masala. When it gets little fried add chopped onions. Fry well. When it turns little brown add all the spices mentioned along with ginger and garlic paste blended together.Slice and add the tomato.

3. Let it get fried for sometime in low flame. After 10 minutes add the marinated chicken. Mix well and cover with lid.
4. Cook it until the chicken is cooked & fried properly.
5. Once the chicken becomes soft, garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve with hot rice or chapati!
